Gertie T. Marshall, 83, of Dows, died Tuesday (June 13, 1995) at the Clarion Community Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Willim Funeral Home in Clarion, with the Rev. Charles Kellogg officiating.
Burial will be in El Township Cemetery in Klemme. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the Willim Funeral Home with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Gertie T. Marshall was born March 21, 1912, in Kamrar, Iowa. Survivors include one sister, Esther Carolus of Clarion; and two brothers, John Trampel of Clarion, and Elmer Trampel of Alexander.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

Gertie T. Marshall, 83, of Dows, died at the Clarion Community Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, June 13.
Funeral services for Gertie T. Marshall were held on Friday, June 16, at the Willim Funeral home in Clarion. Rev. Charles Kellogg officiated at the 1 p.m. service. Gary Brandt provided the music. Burial was at the Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme. Willim Funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.
Casket bearers were Steven Stockdale, Gordon Worden, Steve Carolus and Brad Trickey.
Gertie Marshall was born in Kamrar to August and Anne Arends Trampel on March 21, 1912. She was raised and educated in Klemme and in 1930 graduated from Klemme High School. She attended Iowa State Teachers College and then taught in Hancock County. In 1950 she was united in marriage to Gilman (Bill) Marshall in Latimer.
Gertie lived many years in Dows where she was an active 4-H leader. In 1993 she moved to the Clarion Care Center, where she lived until the time of her death.
Those left to cherish her memory are two brothers, John Trampel of Clarion; Elmer Trampel of Alexander; and one sister, Esther Carolus of Clarion.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill; parents; and one brother.
