Esther Bertha Schuldt

KLEMME — Funeral services for Esther Bertha Schuldt, 87, of Mentor, Ohio, were held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Hope Ridge United Methodist Church in Concord, Ohio.

Public graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Ell Township Cemetery, Klemme. Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to gather at the Andrews Funeral Chapel, 528 E. Main St., Klemme, starting at noon.

Mrs. Schuldt died Sunday (Jan. 4, 2009) at her residence.

Esther was born June 4, 1921, in Lime Springs, Iowa, on the family farm. She lived in Yonkers, N.Y., before moving to Mentor in 1961.

Esther was a 45-year member of Hope Ridge United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed her time with her bridge club.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lorene Clayton; son, Steven Paul Schuldt; grandchildren, Erin Clayton, Eric Clayton, Kimberly Schuldt, Karly Schuldt and Trevor Schuldt.

Esther was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Herman Schuldt, on Aug. 7, 1976; her sisters, Ruth Eleanor Evans, who passed away at the age of 2; Ellen Ruth Allen and a twin sister, Edith Elizabeth George.

Memorial contributions may be made in Esther’s name to Hope Ridge United Methodist Church, 9870 Johnnycake Ridge Road., Concord, OH 44077.

Local funeral arrangements in Iowa are being handled by the Andrews Funeral Home, Klemme.
