Frances Elizabeth Gray, the daughter of William and Clara (Raithel) Wrede, was born January 1, 1918 on a farm east of Garner. She graduated from Garner High School in 1935. On March 12, 1941 she was married to Alfred Goll in Garner. They made their home on a farm east of Garner. Alfred passed away on December 7, 1955. Frances then moved into Garner and worked for over twenty years at the Modern Cleaners in Garner and the Garner VFW. She also worked as secretary for
the Garner Chamber of Commerce. On January 22, 1976 she was married to Robert Gray. Frances will always be remembered as a mother and grandmother to many people in the community. She enjoyed traveling, reading, needlework and cooking. She was a member of Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church in Garner and the Women's Fellowship. Frances was also a charter member of the Garner VFW Auxiliary and a member of the Garner American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, of Garner; four sons, Layne Gray and his wife, Bunny, of Longbottom, OH, Douglas Gray of Orlando, FL, Reed Gray of Jacksonville, FL and Scott Gray and his wife, Marla, of Woodland Park, CO; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many special friends. She
was preceded in death by her first husband, Alfred; her parents; and a daughter, Sheila Gray.
