FR. JOHN HEMANNEleanore Therese Ricke, 55, passed away Sunday, October 20, 1991 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.
Eleanore, the daughter of Tony J. and Lula A. Nedved Trca was born September 4, 1936 in Mason City and grew up on the family farm near Hayfield. She attended and graduated from the Hayfield High School in 1954.
On April 7, 1959 she was united in marriage with Dean Ricke at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan. The couple made their home in Wesley from 1959 to 1968. They then moved back to her home place near Hayfield where she had since resided.
Eleanore was a member of St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Duncan, a member of St. Wenceslaus Rosary Society, the Catholic Workmen Branch #51 and the Britt Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She enjoyed her grandchildren, Hobby Club, dancing, baking and cake decorating, painting and wallpapering. She was dedicated to her mother who was blind and had never seen her.
Survivors include her husband, Dean Ricke of Garner. IA; one daughter, Sandy Hanson and her husband, Kevin of Mason City, IA; five sons: Randy and his wife, Brenda; Mark and his wife, Kim; Marvin and his wife, Jane; Terry and Jerry, all of Garner, IA. two grandchildren: Kally and Amber; one brother, Anton Trca of Garner, IA.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
