Ardella Jean Nelson, daughter of Verner and Jenny (Meinderts) Nelson was born August 17, 1925, in Hancock County, Iowa.

She attended and graduated from the Klemme High School and attended Hamilton Business College in Mason City, Iowa. She worked in Mason City for a time before going to Madison, Wisconsin, where she was the secretary for the Bishop of the First
United Methodist Church in Madison. She later started her own copying business in Madison.

She moved back to Klemme, Iowa; and after her health began to fail she entered the Good Shepherd Care Center in Mason City, where she died on Monday, May 21, 2001.

She is survived by a sister, Erdene Halferty of Keosauqua, IA; niece, Sue Rardin and her husband, Bill of Bloomfield, IA; and nephew, Brian Halferty of Altoona, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
