Knute (Knut) Christenson was born​​​ ​April 30, 1888 at Han​c​o​ck, IA​ to Andrew ​Ch​ri​stenson​ (born March 1860 Norway, died March 3, 1933 Hancock, IA) and And​rea​ An​dersdatt​er (born April 1857 Akershus, Norway, died February 26, 1914 Hancock, IA). Believe Knute had 3 brothers:
Alfred (born October 1879 Akershus, Norway); Mandus (born August 26, 1881 Akershus, Norway, died 1957); and
Arthur (born November 2, 1890 Hancock, IA, died September 21, 1950).

Knute married Mable Rose (1889-1916) abt 1909 at probably Hancock, Iowa. They had a son, Merald (Merrill)(born abt 1909 Garner, Hancock, IA) and daughter, Valia (Velma) (born abt 1916 Garner, Hancock, IA). Mable died 1916.

Knute married ​next to Kathryn E. (last name Rose??) (Cathryn born 1885). They had a daughter, Etta (born 1922 Garner, Hancock, IA).

Knute was a farmer and lived his entire life in Hancock, County, Iowa.
Knute d​ied December 19, ​1931​ at Crystal, Hancock, IA and is buried at Crystal Township Cemetery, Hancock, IA.

Found in the 1895, 1900, 1905, 1910, 1915, 1920, 1925, 1930 censuses living at Crystal, Hancock, IA:
1895: Nute Christenson, age 6.

1900: Andrew Christenson 40, Annie Christenson 43, Manual Christenson 20, Alfred Christenson 21, Knute Christenson 12, Arthur Christenson 9, attending school.

1905: Attending school.

1910: Says married 1 year. Methodist. Knute Christenson 22, Mabel Christenson 20, Merald Christenson 6/12.

1915: Kunto Christenson age 26 1920: living as a boarder at Elmer Griggs, says he is widowed, Raute Christenson, age 32.

1925: Kenite Christenson 37, Cathryn Christenson 39, Merll Christenson 14, Valva Christenson 9, Etta Christenson 3.

(Also found in the 1925 census is daughter, Mabel Christensen born 1916 (has to be Velma) living with an uncle and aunt at Boone, Hancock, IA. The census says her parents were Mabel Rose and Knude Christenson.)

1930: Knute Christenson 42, Kathryn E Christenson 45, Valva G Christenson 16, Etta M Christenson 8, John Daniels 20.
