DANIEL WEBNER - 1884-1960
Daniel Webner, born September 17, 1884 near Dougherty, Iowa to Daniel and Beulah Riggins Webner. He moved with his parents to a farm near Klemme when a small boy. He attended rural schools in Hancock County.
On November 14, 1906 he was married to Alice Quick at Ventura, Iowa. They farmed near Klemme most of their married life. In 1950 they retired and moved to Garner.
To this union nine children were born, five sons, (two of whom died in infancy) and four daughters.
Surviving are: Theodore Webner, Garner; Mrs. Mike (Estella) Kinsella, Ventura; Donald Webner, Garner; Mrs. Kenneth (Syble) Schlawin, Garner; Herbert Webner, Mason City; Mrs. Willard (Doris) Palmer, Grundy Center; Mrs. Lloyd (Etta Lou) Bier, Garner.
He is also survived by his wife, twenty-one grandchildren and four great grandchildren, also a sister Mrs. Edith Nelson of Fort Dodge.
He was preceded in death by two sons, his parents, a twin brother, a sister and an infant granddaughter.
