Hans Shurson , 66, Dies;
Services at Kanawha

Kanawha-Funeral services were held at the Kanawha Lutheran church Monday afternoon for Hans Shurson, 66, who died Friday morning at the home of his sister, Mrs. Elmer Burt, of Rowan.

Hans Gerhart Shurson was born July 17, 1877 in Story County, Iowa, son of Joe and Dora Shurson. He had spent most of his life in Kanawha working with his brother John. He had been in ill health for the past several years and for the last five months had made his home with his sister at Rowan where he was cared for.

Surviving are four brothers and three sisters, John of Kanaswha; Anfin, Sam and Tom of Eagle Grove; Mrs. Elmer Burt of Rowan and Mrs. Orvel Minor and Mrs. Felix Ally of Eagle Grove.

The Rev. Axel Shefeland of Belmond, temporary pastor of the Kanawha Lutheran church, and the Rev. N.L. Hammer, pastor of the First Lutheran church at Clarion, were in charge of the services. Burial was in the Kanawha cemetery
