Services for Mrs. Emma Rasmuson, 74, were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church.

The Rev. Lester Gatch, Tripoli, former pastor here was in charge of the service. A prayer service at the Boughton Funeral Home preceded the church service. Interment was in the family lot at Evergreen Cemetery.

The church was filled to capacity in these last respects to Mrs. Rasmuson.

Emma J. Krambeer, daughter of John & Augusta Englehardt-Krambeer was born March 24, 1884 at Sanborn County, South Dakota.

In her infancy she moved with her parents to Clayton County, Iowa & it was there that she received her education & grew ot womanhood.
On December 2, 1906 she was united in marriage to William J. Rasmuson, son of the late Mr. & Mrs. R. S. Rasmuson, the wedding taking place at Monona, Iowa.

The couple established their home northeast of Britt near Eagle Lake. Blessing the home of Mr. & Mrs. Rasmuson were four sons, Donald, Albert, Lloyd & William.

Mrs. Rasmuson with her family were members of the Congregational Church & active in church life as well as community interests. She was a member of the Social Art Club, the Neighborhood Club & Ester Circle of the Congregational Church. Her life always centered with her family.

The family circle was broken on November 8, 1953, when Mr. Rasmuson passed away.

For the past two years she has been in failing health & has been in & out of the hospital, but not of a serious nature, however on Friday evening of the past week she was taken to the Hancock Memorial Hospital & Sunday afternoon she slept away at the age of 74 years, 3 months & 26 days.

Surviving Mrs. Rasmuson are her sons, Donald, Albert, Lloyd & William Jr.; four daughter-in-laws, Keota, Helen, Helen & Carol, 13 grandchildren & five great grandchildren, one brother, George Krambeer, Britt; three sisters, (Ida) Mrs. William Laundt, Owatonna, Minn., (Minnie) Mrs. Robert Collins, Luana, Iowa, (Bertha) Mrs. Harry Koth, Kenosha, Wis., several neices, nephews, cousins & many friends.

In addition to her parents & husband she was preceded in death by 7 brothers & two sisters, Henry, Louis, Ben, Robert, Charles, John, William, (Hattie) Mrs. Charles Baumgart & (Augusta) Mrs. August Doerring.

Mrs. Rasmuson Dies at 74; Rites Wednesday

Britt - Mrs. W. J. Rasmuson, 74, died Sunday afternoon at the Hancock Memorial Hospital here.

Born Emma J. Krambeer, Mar. 24, 1884, in Sanborn County, S.D., she was the daughter of John and Augusta Engelhart Krambeer. She grew up in Monona, Dec. 2, 1906, she was married to William J. Rasmuson in Britt. They lived on a farm northeast of here, near Eagle Lake. Her husband died Nov. 8, 1953.

Survivors are four sons, Donald, Albert, Lloyd and William Jr., all of Britt; 13 grandchildren, five great grandchildren, a brother, Geroge Krambeer, Britt; three sisters, Mrs. William (Ida) Laundt, Owatonna, Minn,; Mrs. Robert (Winnie) Collins, Luana; and Mrs. Harry (Bertha) Koth, Kenosha, Wis. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the First Congregational Church, Britt; the Social Arts Club, Esther Circle and Neighborhood Club.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at the First Congregational Church here preceded by a prayer service for the immediate family at Boughton Funeral Home. The Rev. Lester Gatch, former pastor here and now of Tripoli, will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
