Services for Mrs. Agnes Papousek, 92, of Garner, who died Tuesday, Jan. 14 at her daughter's home in Gillespie, Ill., were held 10 a.m., Saturday, January 18 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Rev. Msgr. Roger O'Brien as celebrant.

Mrs. Ronald Kumsher, organist, accompanied the church choir. Ushers were Elmer Urich and Robert Kral. Casketbearers were Wencl Kadrlik, Stan Ziesmer, James Reinig, Russell Aries, Francis Murphy and Arlan Haugen.

Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel where a rosary service was held Friday evening.

Mrs. Agnes Ann Papousek, the daughter of John and Rosella Ann (Pitzenburger) Kruse was born October 22, 1893 at St. Lucas, Ia. After attending the rural schools in the St. Lucas area, she worked as a housekeeper for relatives for several years.

February 8, 1915, she was married to Edward Martin Papousek at Waucoma, Ia. They moved to Garner where they lived their entire married life.

Agnes assisted her husband in their carpentry and upholstery shop which they operated for 68 years until they retired in 1979. After her husband's death, April 18, 1983, she moved to Gillespie, Ill. to live with her daughter Mary Ann.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and Rosary Society.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Schoby of Gillespie, Ill.; her son, James F. Papousek and his wife, Marilyn of Pittsburg, Pa.; 3 grandchildren, David, Richard and Natasha; and her sister, Mrs. Loretta Murphy of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; an infant son, Glenn Edward Papousek; her parents; 3 sisters, Mrs. Clara Fisher, Mrs. Evelyn Knecht and Mrs. Helen Baer; and 3 brothers, Richard Kruse, Frank Kruse and Raymond Kruse.
