Retired Woden area farmer, Fred Duea, 83, died Saturday at a Mason City hospital. He was admitted to the hospital early Saturday morning and died a few hours later.

Soon after their marriage, the couple moved to a farm in Sebeka, Minn. They lived there until moving to their present farm in Grant township in 1944. Due to failing health, Duea was admitted to the Good Samaritan Center in Forest City Jan. 9, 1985. April 9, 1985, Mrs. Duea joined him at the center.

Duea attended Trinity Lutheran church in Forest City and Grant Lutheran church in rural Woden.
