Mrs. Walter Kurtz died December 31, at her home in Roy, Montana, after an illness of a week, the cause of her death being typhoid pneumonia following an attack of influenza.

Flossie May Butts, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Butts, was born in Britt December 16, 1889. On December 15, 1909 she was united in marriage to Walter C. Kurtz at her home in Britt. They then moved to Roy, Montana, which place has since been their home. She was stricken with influenza and after an illness of only a week died, leaving besides her husband five small children, the youngest a daughter of six weeks, the parents, six brothers and one sister, to mourn her death.

She was brought to her old home in Britt, from which place funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock, Rev. Winterstein of the M. E. church reading the service. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery.
