Emma R. Knop, 93, of Garner, died Saturday (Nov. 11, 1995) at Concord Care Center, Garner.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 15, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Garner, with the Rev. Clyde Kieschnick as officiant. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Mason City.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Cataldo Funeral Chapel, Garner.

Emma Rose Knop, the daughter of Frank Rayhons and Mary (nee) Urich) Rayhons was born Oct. 4, 1902, on a farm northwest of Garner. She attended the rural schools of Garfield Township. On Aug. 2, 1927, she was married to Julius H. Knop at St. Wenceslaus Catholic rectory at Duncan. They farmed east of Garner until 1955, when they retired and moved into Garner. Due to ill health, she moved to Concord Care Center in 1987.

Emma enjoyed sewing, cooking, flower gardening and caring for her family. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid.

Survivors include her husband, Julius Knop of Garner; three sons, Harold Knop and his wife, Ruth, of Ventura, Ronald Knop and his wife, Wilma, of Ventura, and Kenneth Knop and his wife, Virginia, of Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Albina Prohaska of Garner, and Mrs. Rose Kopacek and her husband, Vincent, of Britt; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Agnes Rayhons of Garner.

She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter, Cheryl Knop in 1951; her parents; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Chizek on May 19, 1980, and Mrs. Caroline Prohaska on March 17, 1988; and three brothers, Frank Rayhons on Sept. 1, 1977, John Rayhons on Nov. 23, 1980, and Henry Rayhons on Dec. 12, 1981.
