Services for Virginia A. Stille, 60, of Britt, who died Tuesday, Oct. 21, 1997 at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN, were held Friday Oct. 24, at the United Methodist Church in Goodell with the Rev. Jerry Robertson officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Shirley Kuhlers who accompanied soloist, Kimberly Palmquist and congregational hymns. Usher was Gerald Burk.

Casket bearers were Gene Stille, Dean Tompkins, Dean Stromer, Dr. H.T. Bosworth, Larry Schisel, Larry Boller, Delwyn Stromer and Larry Langlitz.

Burial was in Amsterdam Township Cemetery, Goodell.

Visitation was held Thursday at the Cataldo Funeral Home, Garner.

Virginia A. Stille, the daughter of Paul C. and Florence M. (Mason) Veldhouse, was born May 17, 1937, in Belmond. She attended a one-room rural schoolhouse in Avery Township until she was nine and graduated from Goodell High School in 1954. She attended college at Iowa State University in Ames.

July 8, 1955, she married Robert R. Stille in Goodell. While Bob was in the U.S. Army they made their home in Arlington, VA, and Ft. Sheridan, IL. In October of 1958, they moved to Goodell where they farmed. In the Spring of 1962, they moved west of Klemme and continued farming where Virginia was an active partner in the farming operation from chasing cattle to driving tractors. In October of 1996, they moved to Eagle Lake.

She enjoyed her husband, Bob, and her three "little girls" Laurie, Linda and Lisa. She also enjoyed fishing with Bob, bowling with her friends, bowling tournaments, trips on Labor Day weekend to Lake Superior, watching Bob play softball for Butt'r top and Sunday dinners with her family.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Goodell, Ladies Aide, Garner Women's Bowling Association, and the Klemme Girl Scouts where she was a Scout Leader for 16 years.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Stille of Britt; three daughters, Laurie S. Anderson and husband, Doug, and their children Brittany and Aaron of Nevada, Linda S. Skogerboe and husband, Mark, and their children Anna and Amy of Goodell and Lisa S. Barillas and husband, Chris, and their son, Nicholas, of Maxwell; and her parents, Paul and Florence Veldhouse of Goodell.
