Services for Orland Auchampach, 80, of Garner, who died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1988 at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28 at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner with Rev. Bruce Giese of the United Presbyterian Church as officiant.

Casket bearers will be Merlin Johnson, Walter Gorman, John Eness, Elmer Jante, Ray Pool and Herb Schubert.

Burial will be in Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. Visitation will be one hour before the time of service at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Orland Wilson Auchampach, the son of George and Jennie (Johnson) Auchampach, was born April 22, 1908 at Garner. After graduating from Garner High School in 1928, he worked for Goodrich & Bethke Produce and then for R.E.C., until the mid-1940's.

June of 1936, he married Loretta Holman at Waverly. Orland worked in construction and was also the supervisor at the Hancock County Landfill north of Garner until he retired.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Garner.

He is survived by his wife, Loretta, of Garner and his brother, Donald Auchampach and his wife, Jean, of Garner.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
