Services held or Paul Barz, Klemme

Services for Paul Barz were held on Saturday, November 28, 1981, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Klemme, Iowa. Officiating was the Rev. Julius Rechtermann. Mrs. Gordon Beier was organist and accompanied Vincint Baack as he sang "The Old Rugged Cross." and "How Great Thou Art."

Casket bearers were Kevin Pearson, August Josten, Norman Henschen, Kirk Pearson, Edward Josten and Eldridge Alden. Interment was in Ell Twp. Cemetery, Klemme, with military rites at the graveside.

Paul Herman Barz, son of Herman and Olga Ratzloff Barz, was born on July 1, 1922, at the farm home in Klemme, Iowa. He attended country school and worked on the farm until he entered the Service and served during World War II. Following his discharge, he returned to Klemme and has farmed ever since that time. He died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, November 25, 1981. He was a member of the U.C.C. Church and the Klemme Legion.

Mr. Barz is survived by two sisters, Stella and Marcedia Barz of Klemme. Also surviving is one brother, Martin, of Klemme and one niece, Maxine Krall.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gerald.
