Bert Schreur, 85, dies at Belmond

Bert Schreur, 85, died Sunday at Belmond Community Hospital.

Funeral services were Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Kanawha Christian Reformed Church. Burial was in Amsterdam Cemetery. Visitation was at Carter Funeral Home.

Born in the Netherlands Dec. 15, 1881, he had lived in Wright County since 1898. He had farmed most of his life. He was married to Reka Seimens in 1904.

Surviving are his wife, five sons, George, Garrett, John, William, Herman, and two daughters, Mary Schruer and Mrs. George (Helen) Eekhoff, all of Kanawha; a brother, Manus, Peace, Minn.; a sister, Minnie Hubers, Milaca, Minn.; 21 grandchildren, four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, two daughters and a son.
