1904-1987

Services for Vollina Redenius, 83, Britt, who died November 3, 1987, were held Thursday, Nov. 5, 1:30 p.m., at the Woden Christian Reformed Church with Rev. Raymond Graves officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mrs. Clarence Harringa, who accompanied the congregation singing hymns. A quartet; Harlan Eekhoff, Paul Tjaden, Marvin Hillenga and John Smidt sang and were accompanied by Mrs. Ernest Van Weelden. Ushers were Kevin Kruger and Keith Mayland.

Casket bearers were Donald Tegtmeyer, Glen Arkema, Harold Pommer, Forrest Eckels, Elmer Meyer and Harvey Eden.

Burial was in the Woden Christian Reformed Church Cemetery with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Vollina Redenius, the daughter of George and Engelina Alke Meyer, was born August 17, 1904 in Kossuth County and attended the country schools in the Titonka and Wesley area.

On March 7, 1928 Vollina was married to Henry Redenius in Titonka. The couple moved to a farm near Thompson, then moved to a farm in Orthel Township in 1933. They farmed in that area until 1968, when they retired and moved to Britt.

Vollina was a member of the Woden Christian Reformed Church and the Ladies Aid and enjoyed sewing and flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Henry in 1983 and a brother John.

Vollina is survived by three sisters, Julia Stecker, Martha Fuls, both of Titonka, and Jennie Boekelman of Britt; and a brother, Christian Meyer of Harrisonville, MO.
