Services Held Wednesday For Mrs. Susan Kingland

Funeral services for Mrs. Susan Ingeborg Kingland were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Immanuel Lutheran church. The Rev. Owen Gangstead officiated.

Judy Kingland, organist, accompanied Sharon Holland, soloist.

Casket bearers were Sophus Duea, Gustav Holland, Silas Holland, Kennes Kingland, Quinten Kingland and Dallas Nelson.

Interment was in the Madison township cemetery with the Olson service in charge.

Mrs. Kingland died of a heart attack Sunday at the Forest City hospital. She was born Oct. 15, 1890, the daughter of Severs and Ingeborg Holland who lived in Grant township.

She was married to Seward Anderson and they farmed in Linden township and later lived in Britt. He died July 18, 1941.

March 28, 1947, she was married to Joseph Kingland and they lived in Britt and Forest City.

Surviving are six step-children, Oral and Kennes Kingland of Forest City, Eva Kingland and Mrs. Allan (Emily) Conklin of Minneapolis, Mrs. Gustav (Rachel) Holland of Mason City; Quintin Kingland of Kansas City, Mo.; three sisters, Dora Holland and Mrs. Charlotte Nelson of Forest City and Mrs. Fred (Irene) Duea of Woden; and 14 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by both husbands; four brothers, the Rev. E. S. Holland, Elmer Holland, Milton Holland and Gustav Holland and one sister, Gustava Holland.
