Went to her eternal rest last Saturday morning, Jan. 21st, 1899, at her home in Garner. Mrs. Susan Whitesell, in the 64th year of her age. Mrs. Whitesell was born in Ontario, Canada, and later a resident of this county for a number of years. Her funeral took place from the M. E. church in Garner on the Sunday following her death, Rev. W. F. Gleason preaching the funeral sermon. Her remains were followed by a large concourse of friends and laid away in the silent tomb in the Concord cemetery.
