Died: Mrs. Sarah VanHoosen passed quietly away at 4:30 a.m., Nov. 11, 1897, at the home of her son Charles in Ellington township. Funeral service was held at the home where many relatives and loving friends gathered to bid a long farewell, and all that was mortal of loving Mother VanHoosen was laid to final rest in the Concord cemetery.

Mrs. VanHoosen was born at Hudson, N. Y., March 10, 1803 and had long passed the allotted three score and ten, leaving five sons and four daughters to mourn a loving mother.
