Died on Thursday evening, April 23d, 1896, at his residence in Britt, of hemorrhage of the lungs. Jacob Zeigler, aged about 55 years.

Deceased has been an invalid for sometime, being a victim of that dread disease, consumption. On the evening of his death he was taken with a severe fit of coughing shortly after the evening meal which terminated in the manner indicated.

He was a resident of several years' standing in this county and town, and was universally respected by those who knew him. The funeral took place Sunday afternoon at the Dunkard church, near Stilson, of which the deceased and family are members, the pastor officiating.

A wife and five children, all of mature age and residents of this county, are left to mourn his loss.
