Died in Ellington township, Hancock county, Iowa, Nov. 24, 1889, Hariet Elizabeth Wilson, wife of Stephen D. Wilson, age 66 years, 1 month and 11 days.

Deceased was born in Hartford, Conn., and was married to her now bereaved husband Dec. 1, 1842, in Erie county, N. Y. Shortly after marriage, they moved to Wisconsin and to Iowa to the place where she died in 1867 [???]. For forty seven years have they shared life's joys and sorrows together. Little wonder that the stricken husband feels that his home is broken up and finds himself unable to realize that she is gone.

Funeral services were held at Ellington Center, on the 26ult., conducted by Rev. L. F. Troutman. The large attendance and manifestations of sorrow speak louder than words can of the high esteem in which she was held by those that knew her. Mrs. Wilson, in life, was a humble, unassuming christian, and died with her faith in Christ unshaken.
