Kanawha Farmer Struck By Falling Tree, Died Thurs.

Accident Occurred Tuesday While He And Son Were Cutting Down Trees.

Stilson - Funeral services for O. C. Stith, who lived in this vicinity for twelve years, and who died at the Hampton hospital Thursday afternoon following injuries received by a falling tree, were held at the United Brethren church at Stilson Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in charge of the Rev. L. B. Foster.

The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon while Mr. Stith and his son, Ross were cutting down trees. A tree struck Mr. Stith, causing a fractured skull, fractured jaw and internal injuries.

Surviving Mr. Stith are his wife and children, John, Ross, Lloyd, Ore, and Robert, all at home.

He was born February 24, 1879, near Jasper, Mo., and came to the Stilson community twelve years ago.

Burial was made in the Boone township cemetery.
