Robert R. McNutt
Funeral services were held on Friday, January 30, 1981 at the Goodell United Methodist Church for Robert McNutt, 56, who died as the result of a heart attack while driving his truck in Sac county. Rev. Harris Hostager of Belmond and Rev. Don Griffin officiated. Burial was in the Amsterdam Cemetery, Goodell. Fulton Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Robert McNutt was born July 27, 1924 at Goodell to Robert C. and Edna Alabun [Allaben] McNutt. He received his education in Goodell High School and became a member of the Methodist church. He married Billie Harbison at Garner on December 6, 1945. In recent years he had a cob buying and trucking business and in earlier years he had farmed.
He was a veteran of the Army Air Force and served during World War II.
Surviving are his wife: Billie of Goodell; three sons; Robert A. McNutt of Clarion, Michael D. McNutt of Belmond and James J. McNutt of Slater; two daughters, Billie A. Eliason of Dayton, Ohio and Patricia (Mrs. Larry) Tideback of Waterloo; his father, Robert C. McNutt of Belmond; one brother, Gene G. McNutt of Longmont, Colorado; two sisters, Virginia Finn of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Marilyn Erickson of Fort Madison; and seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Casket bearers were Fred Ficher, Clair Hanson, Marvin Lonnevik, Wayne Mason, Mike Ritter and Cleo Wilson.
