Alex Early, Klemme Succumbs August 27

Klemme - Last rites were held at the Klemme Methodist church this afternoon (Wednesday) for Alex M. Early of this community who died Sunday at the age of 52.

The services were conducted by the Rev. E. Morris Egeland, pastor of the church. Two hymns were sung by a duet of Mrs. Vern Bison, and Mrs. Wesley Patterson, with Maurice Jacobs at the organ.

Pallbearers were Ronald Barz, Eldon Hagon, Raymond Barz, Paul Goll, Harold Johnson and Roy Swanson. Interment was in Calvery cemetery, Klemme. The Bohn funeral home of Garner was in charge of the services.

Alex M. Early was born March 22, 1898, in Missouri. He came to Iowa at an early age and grew to manhood in the vicinities of Belmond and Goodell.

On Feb. 20, 1930, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Larson. The couple farmed near Goodell and later moved to the Klemme locality where they were farming at the time of Mr. Early's death.

He leaves to mourn him, his wife, and one daughter, Norma; two sisters - Mrs. Wallis (Fern) Moline of Clare and Mrs. Lee (Annie) Powell of Lehigh and two brothers - Robert and Everett of Wapalo, Wash.
