Lela Davis

Funeral services were held Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Kanawha for Lela Davis, 81, who died Saturday, Nov. 23, 1985, at the Belmond Hospital. Rev. Judy Kitterman officiated. Burial was in Amsterdam Township Cemetery. Carter Ewing Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Lela was born April 26, 1904, in Buchanan County, the daughter of Roy and Myrtle Bearbower Davis. She received her education in the Kanawha schools and was employed in various jobs in Kanawha and in taking care of her parents until their deaths.

She retired in 1970. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

Surviving is a sister, Doris (Mrs. Donald) Burk of Goodell.
