Life Long Resident Of Corwith Laid To Rest Wednesday P. M.

Mrs. Harold Balmer Passed Away September 24 At University Hospital

Corwith - Funeral services for Mrs. Harold Balmer were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Methodist church, the Rev. O. E. Schaal in charge.

Laura Joe [Zoe] Balmer, one of twin daughters born to Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bosworth, was born at Corwith, Iowa, April 22, 1904, and passed away at the University hospital at Iowa City Sept. 24, 1934. She spent her entire life in the vicinity of Corwith, attending the Corwith public school, graduating from the high school in 1924. Oct. 6, 1924, she married Harold Balmer and to this union were born five children, four girls and a boy. She became a member of the Methodist church in early girlhood.

She is survived by her husband and children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Bosworth,two brothers, Charles and Fred, all of Corwith, and five sisters, Mrs. L. Roy Smith, East Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Robert Roebuck, Rapeljo, Mont.; Mrs. Lester Hash of Clifton Hill, Mo.; Mrs. Charles Riggle and Mrs. C. E. Peterson of Corwith.

Interment was made in the Corwith cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hash and family of Clifton Hill,Mo., attended the funeral, returning home Sunday.
