Wendy Sue Greiman 1949-1985

Services for Mrs. Wendy Greiman, 35, of Garner, who died Friday at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City, were held 10:30 a.am., Monday, Sept, 9 at Zion United Church of Christ with Rev. Larry Laskie as officiant.

Mrs. Alan Jass provided special music with Mrs. Aaron Simons, Jr. and also accompanied Ken Mick, Tom Pronk, Gary Moore, and Bill Renner who sang as a men's quartet. Ushers were Al Dewitt, Jon Dewitt, Garland Brinkman, Steve Jass and Daryl Upmeyer.

Casket bearers were Roger Schmidt, Marvin Rayhons, Don Weiland, Ivan Barkema, Randy Greiman and Dave Quinn. Burial was in Concord Cemetery at Garner.

Mrs. Wendy Sue Greiman, the daughter of George and Elvira (Hollatz) Doble, was born September 16, 1949 at Forest City. After graduating from Garner High School in 1967 she went to the American Institute of Business in Des Moines where she graduated in September 1968.

August 31, 1968, she was married to Stanley E. Greiman at Garner. They lived at Ames where she worked for the Sports Information Director at Iowa State University. They moved to Manson where Stan taught school for one year.

In 1970 they moved to Garner where they farmed four miles east of Garner. She had worked for the Templeton and Pronk Law Firm for the past two and one half years. Wendy had also served as church secretary at Zion United Church of Christ for three years.

She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ where she had served as pianist, choir member, Sunday School teacher, Bible School Teacher, Junior Choir Director, Youth Fellowship Advisor, music director for "God's Sake," past president of Womens Fellowship and was active in Young Adults. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Soroity, Garner Women's Bowling Association, Ell Township Homemakers Club, and the Ventura Music Mothers and was a 4-H leader for the North Ell Tip Toppers 4-H Club.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley; her children, Edward, Angela and Matthew; her parents; George and Elvira Doble; her four brothers: Dennis Doble and his wife, Nancy, of Britt, Joel Doble and his wife, Michelle, of Garner, Curt Doble and his wife, Michelle, of Minneapolis and Bill Doble and his wife, Pat, of Garner.
