Peter Benson was born in Sweden on the 3rd day of July, 1847. Came to this country with his family in May 1891. He was stricken with paralysis in February of this year, from which he never recovered.

Five days prior to his death he became unconscious, passing away at 10:05 p.m. August 9, 1915, aged 68 years, 1 month and 6 days. He leaves to mourn for him three sons, all of whom were present at the time of his death.
