Marcedia Barz 1928-1986

Services for Marcedia Grace Barz, 58, who died Sunday, Nov. 16 at Mercy Hospital in Mason City were held Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1:30 p.m. at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Klemme with Rev. Julius Richtermann officiating.

Mrs. Gracka Gerardi, organist, accompanied a duet of Tom and Bill Renner.

Casket bearers were Glen Alden, August Josten, Aldridge Alden, Doug Prohaska, Norman Henschen and Ronald Brinkman.

Burial was in Ell Township Cemetery in Klemme.

Marcedia Grace Barz, the daughter of Herman and Olge (Ratzloff) Barz, was born July 14, 1928, at Klemme. She attended the Klemme School and graduated in 1946.

She has resided on, and farmed the same farm since her birth.

Marcedia was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ, its Ladies Fellowship, a member of Senior Citizens and Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by one sister, Stella Barz of Klemme; and one brother, Martin Barz of Klemme. One niece Mrs. Maxine Krall, and one grand-nephew, Scott Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents , and two brothers, Gerald and Paul.
