Garner Woman Dies; Services Held Monday

Garner - Mrs. Lucy Kenyon Rhodes, 87, died Friday night at the home of her son, Rodney B. Rhodes, with whom she had made her home since her husband died in 1938.

Mrs. Rhodes was born Feb. 4, 1857, at Argo, Ill., daughter of Samuel Kenyon. In 1880 she married Edgar C. Rhodes. The couple lived at Thompson, Ill., and in 1901 came to Garner where they lived ever since. Mr. Rhodes was a carpenter here. She was a member of the Methodist church and of the Ladies' Aid society,

Rodney was their only child. Two brothers also survive: Seth Kenyon, Austin, Minn., and Casper Kenyon, Harvard, Nebr.

The funeral was held Monday at the Bohn funeral home with the Rev. E. F. Broberg in charge.
