Mrs. John Miller Dies; Hold Rites Wednesday
Hayfield - Mrs. John F. Miller, for several years a resident of this village, died at a Mason City hospital late Saturday night after several months of illness.
Susie Thoren, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Thoren, was born at Aplington July 28, 1879. She was almost 64 years of age.
She was married to John Tjaden in 1910 and was widowed by his death in 1914. On May 8, 1917, at Wellsburg, she was married to John F. Miller who survives. All their married life was spent in Hancock county.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons and two daughters, Sgt. Kobus Miller; now stationed in Africa; Cpl Jacob Miller, stationed at Larado, Tex.; Mrs. Henry Rademaker of Titonka and Mrs. Les Matton of Hutchins.
A short service will be held in the home here Wednesday after which public service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Lutheran church at Britt with the Rev. Mr. Moor in charge. Interment will be in the Evergreen cemetery at Britt.
