Rites held Tuesday for Frank J. Heller, 83

Funeral services for Frank J. Heller, 83, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Immanuel Lutheran church, with the Rev. Owen Gangstead officiating. Burial was in Madison township cemetery. Rev. Robert Evenson, soloist, and Norma Boomgarden, organist, provided music. Honorary casket bearers were Angela Heller, Bryon Heller, Cheryl Green, David Heller, Jeanette Adams, Jon Heller, Karen Heller, Paul Heller, Richard Heller, Robert Heller, Sally Heller and Sara Heller. Casket bearers were Harry Halvorsen, Stanford Holtan, Arnold O. Moe, Harlan Moe, Harvey Nyhus and John Ouderkerk. Olson-Petersen funeral home handled the arrangements.

Mr. Heller died Friday following a brief illness at the Hancock county memorial hospital in Britt. He was born April 21, 1889 at Ida Grove, the son of William and Minnie Heller. Jan 27, 1915, he married Clara Anenson. Heller was a life-long farmer and resided in the Garner area many years.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Byron Green of Mankato; four sons, Perry of McCallsburg, Kenneth of Garner, Herbert and Bernard of Mankato; two brothers, William of Forest City and August of Fairmont, Minn; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents, a son, Fredrick; a brother, Herman, and a sister, Mrs. William Belt.
