Rites Set for Corwith Man

Corwith - Vern J. Zeigler, 57, Hancock County farmer, died Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, Minn., following complications and a heart attack. He had been ill for the past three months.

He was born Dec. 23, 1899, at Kanawha to Ben and Luella Deibler Zeigler. He attended schools in Corwith and on Jan. 12, 1921, he was married to Ann Geilenfelt at New Hampton. They lived on a farm near Corwith since.

Mr. Zeigler was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church here, a member of the Lutheran Brotherhood and served as school director and in local and county farm programs.

Surviving is his wife, Ann; a son, Dale, Corwith; a daughter, Mrs. Howard (Edna) Tew, Kanawha; his mother, Luella Zeigler; six grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Rudolph (Alice) Schott, Garner.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church preceded by a prayer at the family home. The Rev. Clarence Brauer will officiate. Burial will be at the Corwith Cemetery. The Boughton Funeral Home, Britt is in charge.
