Mary E. Kenyon

Garner - Mary E. Kenyon, 83, died Thursday at Concord Manor Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at the United Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Paul Gabrielson will officiate. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery with Bohn Funeral Home in charge.

Born Sept. 4, 1883, at Fort Dodge, she was the daughter of Maggie and Myron Peck. She taught school here before her marriage to William B. Kenyon in 1904. They farmed near here until his death in 1938.

Surviving are a son, William B. Kenyon, Forest City; four daughters, Bernice L. Turner, Los Angeles; Dorothy M. Sill, West Des Moines; Wilma Grace Pitkin, Forest City; Marjorie E. Wetzel, Sycamore, Ill.; two brothers, Walter Peck and Ellsworth Peck, both of Mason City; two sisters, Fern Peck Katter, Garner; Mable Thompson, Lafayette, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her husband, twin sons in infancy, two sisters and a brother.
