Corwith Woman Dies At Burt

Mrs. William F. (Augusta) Erdman, 92, of Corwith died Tuesday at a Burt rest home. She had been in failing health two years.

Born June 4, 1867, at Hoff Pommer, Germany, she was the daughter of August and Caroline Wagner Bubletz. She came to this county when 15. She was married Feb. 8, 1888, at Ottawa, Ill. Mr. and Mrs. Erdman farmed there until coming to Corwith in 1901, where they farmed until retiring. Mr. Erdman died in 1952. She was a charter member of St. John's Lutheran church at Corwith.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. George (Emma) Oxley, Corwith; a son, William G. Erdman, Kanawha.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 2:30 p.m. preceded by a family prayer service at the family home. Rev. David Babcock will officiate.
