Former Pomeroy Resident Passes Away At Britt

Wallace Caldwell, at one time a resident of this place, and widely known in this part of the country, passed away at his home in Britt, Iowa last Sunday evening. We did not learn the cause of his death.

News of Mr. Caldwell's passing was received here by Mr. and Mrs. D. S. Parker and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hunt. He was an uncle of Mr. Hunt and Mrs. Parker.

Mr. Caldwell was born on a farm near Knoke, and lived there for many years. On retiring from the farm he came to Pomeroy where he resided for sometime, moving from here to Ames. About five years ago he moved to Britt, near which place his son has a farm.

Funeral services are being held at Britt this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Hunt are attending the services.

Mr. Caldwell was about 75 years old at the time of his death.
