Mrs. Melvin Brown rites incomplete

Britt - Mrs. Melvin Brown, 66, died at Hancock Memorial Hospital, Britt, Sunday. Funeral services are incomplete at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt.

Born Anna E. Brooks, May 22, 1893, in Butler County, she was the daughter of John and Dorothea Schoppe Brooks. She was married to Melvin Brown at Houston, Mo.

Surviving are her husband and seven children, Edward, Crystal Lake; Blanche, Garner; Kenneth, Forest City; Verle, Garner; Merle, Thompson; Velma and Marlene, Garner; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Roy Brooks, Rolfe; Charles Brooks, Kanawha; Walter Brooks, Britt; and a sister, Mrs. Harold (Gladys) Perkins, Britt.
