Garner - Estel Carr (Jim) Ackarman, 66, died Sunday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rosary will be recited Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Bohn Funeral Home in Garner.

Born Oct. 4, 1901 in Rome, Ind. he was married Oct. 18, 1922, to Dorothy Flaig at Algona.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Donald, Ventura; Claude, Golden Valley; Larry, Garner; a daughter, Mrs. William (Luella) Barton, Evondale Estates, Ga.; nine grandchildren, a great grandchild. He was preceded in death by three brothers.
