Anna Mae Swaney dies at Britt

BRITT - Funeral services will be held for Anna Mae Swaney, 76, widow of Raymond B. Swaney, Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Grupe Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Methodist Church.

Mrs. Swaney died Wednesday at the Hancock County Memorial Hospital where she had been the last six weeks with a broken hip.

Born in Calhoun County she was the daughter of Alexander and Flora Townsend.

Mr. and Mrs. Swaney farmer north of Britt until moving to town in 1946.

Surviving are a son, Dale, Britt; a daughter, Mrs. Edwin (Dorothy) Brown, Crystal Lake; a sister, Margaret France, Rockwell City, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
