Anna Schmid rites Thursday at Woden Church

WODEN - Funeral services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here for Mrs. Anna Schmid, 75. She died Monday at a Buffalo Center Hospital. The Rev. F. W. Shreve will officiate and burial will be in Crystal Lake Cemetery, Crystal Lake. The body will lie in state at the Boughton Funeral Home, Britt, until Thursday.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Wolff, she was born March 4, 1884, in Germany. The family came to this country when she was an infant. She was married to Christian Schmid in Elkton, S. D., Aug. 3, 1903. They moved to the Crystal Lake area in 1914. Her husband died in 1928. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marie and a son, Herman.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Talbert (Esther) Olson, Thompson; a son, Clarence, Forest City, seven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
