Robert Marshall dies; Clear Lake

Robert L. Marshall, 47, of Clear Lake died Wednesday , Nov. 25, at a Mason City hospital, after a two month illness.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church. Clear Lake, with Dr. John DeLong officiating. Burial was made in Ell Town Cemetery at Klemme.

Mr. Marshall was born Nov. 22, 1912, at San Jose, Ill., son of Clyde and Josephine Marshall. He married Luella Kennedy in 1936. He farmed during his early life near Klemme and lived at Blair, Wisc. before moving to Clear Lake where he operated the Lighthouse Root Beer Drive In.

Surviving are his wife, daughter, Mrs. Charles (Marlys) Pemble, Estherville; two sons, Merle and Michael, and a daughter. Marilyn, at home; two grandchildren, his father and step mother, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Marshall of Milwaukee, Wisc., a sister, Mrs. Harlow Helps of Klemme and a step brother Ben Schaper, of Matiland, Fla.

His mother preceded him in death in 1936 and an infant son died in 1937.
