services ThursdayFuneral services for Jess C. Wilson will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 26. Father Dean Walbaum will sing the requiem mass and Msgr. L. B. Striegel will give a sermon on the conclusion of the mass.
Rosary was said at 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Bohn Funeral Horne.
Burial will be made in St. Boniface cemetery, Garner. Pallbearers will be D. E. Flood, Lee Swaney, R. B. Rhodes, Arnold Schmidt, Hans Nielsen and Wilmer Gilles.
Jess C. Wilson, son of Robert C. and Margaret Jane Sharp Wilson was born Jan. 2, 1885, at Ackley. He grew to manhood in the Hampton area. In 1911, he began barbering in Steele, N. Dak., and then worked in various shops in Iowa until 1926 when he came to Garner to work in a barber shop. He retired in 1959 after barbering in Garner for 33 years.
Mr Wilson passed away Monday, July 23, at a Mason City hospital after a short illness.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Ades of Clarinda and Mrs. Janett McNitt of Staples, Minn.; one brother, R. S. Wilson of Clarion; one sister, Mrs. A. G. Lau, Garner, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Verl, two brothers and one sister.
