Britt man is killed in car crash

BRITT - Clarence O. Stone, 68, was killed late Thursday afternoon when he lost control of his car at an intersection south of Hutchins.

A passenger in his car, Don Rasmussen, 60, Britt, is in poor condition at Hancock County Memorial Hospital here.

Clarence Stone, the son of Frank and Agnes McLaughlin Stone, was born March 17, 1900, in Greene County. He was married to Della Elliason Oct. 4, 1924, at Canby, Minn.

Surviving are his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Dena) Bachman, Jesup; Mrs. Don (Evelyn) Helgeson, Biloxi, Miss.; Mrs. Roger (Carol Ann) Nichols, in Germany; two sons, Clyde, Wichita, Kan.; Harold, Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Gilmore Johnson, Britt; Minnie Peterson, Britt: Helen Sarver, Cedar Rapids; Mrs. Hans Johnson, Farmington, Minn.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Grupe Funeral Home in Britt.
