BRITT -Miner G. (Gus) Schrader, 57, died of a heart attack at his home Saturday afternoon. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Paul W. Adix will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery with military rites at the graveside.
Visitation will be at Boughton Funeral Home until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Born Feb. 12. 1912, at Kanawha, he was the son of Miner and Emma Prull Schrader. He was graduated from Britt High School and Junior College and was a veteran of World War II. He was married Sept. 28, 1942, to Bernice Burlingame of Algona.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Jerry, Keota; James, a dental student at the University of Iowa; two daughters, Judith, Wartburg College; Jean, at home; three grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Robert (Alice) Bruns, and a brother, William, Britt.
Mr. Schrader was a captain in the traffic weight control division of the Iowa Highway commission. He was a charter member of Britt Lions Club; a member of Lutheran Brotherhood; past commander and past district commander of the American Legion and on the state liaison committee of the Legion.
