ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Nov. 9, 1961

Albert Oudekerk, 75, farmer residing in the Upper Flat community, was killed about 4:30 p. m. Nov. 1 when the car he was driving went off a dead end road near Elmore, Mn. He was the father of Ralph Oudekerk of Forest City.

Funeral services were held Sat. at the Bethel Baptist church in Britt. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery at Britt.

He was born Oct. 12, 1886 at Midvolda, Holland, the son of Henrik and Jessie Kloppenburg Oudekerk. He married Grace Pomp in 1910 while in Holland. They came to Kalamazoo, Mich. the same year and later moved to Ia.

Surviving are five sons, Emil of Morrison, Ill., Henry of Clear Lake, Albert and Gordon of Britt, Ralph of Forest City, a daughter, Mrs. Eppo (Anna) Gremmer of Garner; 21 grandchildren, two brothers, Korte of Kalamazoo, Henry of Albert Lea, Mn.

He was preceded in death by his wife last April and a daughter Mrs. Herman (Jessie) Nordman Jr.
