ABSTRACTED OBITUARY from Forest City Summit, Aug. 10, 1961

Norman Hanson, 66, former trustee of Crystal twp. for 25 years, school director and president of the Crystal Lake creamery board, died Mon. at a Mason City hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2 p. m. this Thurs. at Upper Flat Evangelical church. the Rev. O. M. Johnson of Eau Claire, Wis. will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Lake cemetery.

Hanson was born July 28, 1895 near Crystal Lake and farmed in that area all his life. He married Christine Mikkelsen Oct. 15, 1920 at Britt. He was a member of the IOOF lodge at Britt.

Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Turner (Alice) Coats of Ft. Pierce, Fla. and Ms. W. G. (Della) McCroskey of Davenport; two sons, Samuel L. of Clear Lake and Charles at home. Five grandchildren and a brother Howard, of Excelsior Springs, Mo.
