Edith Wilson Rites Friday at Corwith
Corwith - Miss Edith Wilson, 66, died Monday at the Hancock Co. Memorial Hospital, Britt. She was born Feb. 22, 1891, at Morristown, Ohio, the daughter of Thomas L. and Ingabee Thompson Wilson.
She had lived in Corwith since 1911. She was a graduate of Drake University and taught in rural schools at Curlew and Whittemore. She had taught in Corwith more than 40 years. She was the principal of the junior high school for many years. On her retirement in May, 1956, she was honored by the school which plans to attend her funeral in a group.
Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Corwith Methodist Church. The Rev. Louis J. Runion will officiate. Burial will be in the Corwith Cemetery with the Ellsworth Funeral Home, Emmetsburg, in charge. There will be a short prayer service at the home preceding the funeral.
Miss Wilson is survived by two brothers, Raymond, Martin's Ferry, Ohio, and Wayne, Morristown, Ohio; eight nephews and five nieces.
