James Ward Of Corwith Dead
Services Are Held for Businessman, Ill Health Victim
Corwith - James Ward, 63, died early Saturday morning at a Mason City hospital where he had been five days. He had been in ill health for several years but had been bedfast only two weeks.
He had lived at Corwith 29 years, coming from Dallas Center where he had served as rural letter carrier. After farming two years he moved to Corwith. He was with the Glidden Hardware company and Jorgenson general store for several years and later operated a produce station.
Surviving are Mrs. Ward, one daughter, Mrs. Earl Punke, two grandchildren, Earlene and Gary Punke, one brother, Edmund Ward of Peoria, Ill, and one sister, Mrs. John Sheppard, of Washington, Ill.
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, the Rev. Karl W. G. Hiller officiating.
